Established in 1999 by Swiss engineers as a small but highly specialized venture in manufacturing of injection moulds, moulding of plastic parts and assembly of electromechanical devices, Askoma Sdn.Bhd. has grown steadily since.
Subsidiary of ASKOMA AG, Switzerland
In 2003 the company was integrated into the Swiss based ASKOMA Group. In addition to our established manufacturing business, ASKOMA Sdn Bhd has since become the Sales Headquarters for ASKOMA HVAC products in SE-Asia.
With the sale of ASKOMA to the Nibe Group in 2014, the cooperation between ASKOMA Sdn Bhd and Backer Asia has grown steadily. In order to strengthen the affiliation of ASKOMA and Nibe, especially with the Backer Group, it was decided in 2022 to rename the company to BACKER ASKOMA.
